On November 11th, Pay Tribute to Veterans

Tomorrow is Veterans Day! Let’s take some time on this national holiday to honor the service of all our U.S. military veterans who have served their country during times of war, conflict and peace.

Veterans Day ceremonies will be held at war memorials throughout the country. Parades, church services will be on the program in some cities, where the community will pay tribute to their country heroes!

What will you do at the 11^th hour of on the 11^th day of the 11^th month to celebrate that day? 

Why not start simply! Salute a veteran around you; thank him for serving and protecting the country!

How To Spend Columbus Day This Year

When Christopher Columbus discovered the Americas in 1492, his voyage was an adventure even though it lasted for days! Today, some states do not have any formal celebrations, others do not consider Columbus Day as a national holiday. What exactly happens on that day?

In some states, special church services, parades and large events are held to commemorate the landing. Yet, Columbus Day has become a great time to explore the adventures of life!  Many  stores have great sales, making it a great shopping day!  How are you spending your Columbus Day?
